It seems that this is where many companies have conjured up some generic spiel in third person that reads like a letter to shareholders or a resume that lists career highlights of the companies’ most distinguished members. I suppose I could attempt to do the same here. However, when I think of what Prodigy Engineering aspires to be,
I am reminded of very simple things.

    I remember taking apart a solar powered calculator and connecting the leads from the photovoltaic cells to a small light bulb hoping that I had discovered a “new” way to power a light bulb. I was six years old and extremely disheartened. Despite having spent more of my six years of life playing with LEGOs than studying electronics, I innocently thought that if one worked diligently enough pursuing an idea, a successful result could be expected. Although I failed in this first attempt, I never stopped experimenting or pursuing new ideas.

    After years of engineering studies in academia, I never pursued more conventional engineering careers. I knew exactly what I wanted. Music had been my life-long obsession, and it made perfect sense to bring together my love for music and my appetite for electrons.

    I believe in pursuing genuine ideas in design, not merely producing (or reproducing) the next trendy trinket. With a sincere enthusiasm and respect for the art and science of music technology, I strive to design the finest audio processors for the professional audio industry. It is my solemn promise that Prodigy Engineering products will never be compromised to meet some elusive marketable price point, but rather, endeavor to be the standard by which all other designs are measured. Every offering by Prodigy Engineering will sound amazing, be easy to use, built like a tank, and beautiful.

...Someday when time allows, I hope to return to my light bulb powering project as much as possible in the same spirit of the curious young boy at age six, taking apart his parents' calculator, but until then…
